Al Saraya Theater - Jaffa

Al Saraya Theater is located in Old Jaffa, in an ancient building dating back to the Ottoman period at 10 Shlomo Hamfartas Street. The theater was established in 1998 after the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality agreed to renovate the ancient building, which was initially designated for the Ottoman Ruler, before moving to the new Saraya in the Clock Tower square before 1948.

The theater produces plays that reflect the Arab community and its social  issues. It is also distinguished by educational plays aimed at children and families. In addition, the theater organizes various cultural events and aspires to be a cultural center and a platform for diverse creative talents in the region. The theater is headed by artist Fares Hanania and activist Fatima Halioui, and its administrative board includes a group of active cultural activists
